The Museum of Islamic Art was designed by the architect I. M. Pei and opened in 2008.

 

It is considered one of the most important museums for Islamic art on the Arabian Peninsula. Its collection includes metal work, ceramics, jewelry, wood work, textiles, and glass obtained from three continents and dating from the 7th to the 20th century.  In GBH produced a total of 65 display cases to house artwork from the museum’s outstanding collection. Freestanding, table and wall display cases with non-reflective glass, passive climate control. Certified airtightness rating of 0.1 per day.
